ABC Certificate

 

We are an accredited ABC Centre and deliver the Certificate in Small Animal Hydrotherapy (Level 3) which is fully endorsed by the British Veterinary Nursing Association (BVNA). To achieve your certification you need to gain a minimum of 13 and maximum of 30 credits through a self managed route, by selecting the units you wish to complete.


If you are gaining this qualification to meet the membership criteria of the Canine Hydrotherapy Association (CHA) or the National Association of Registered Hydrotherapists (NARCH), please contact these Special Interest Groups (SIG) to ensure you meet their current requirements. Units can also be used as part of your CPD needs for membership of these SIGs.


Unit Course Fees: £195 per day at K9 Hydro Services, which includes directed distance learning through the K9 Portal. Please note that in addition there is a one off registration and certification fee payable on commencement. K9 Hydro Services offers a free mentoring service to all course attendees.

Unit Design: All units include a variety of practical sessions to make sure the course is relevant to current practice. This ensures a strong practical “hands on” element as we believe to work alongside specialist Veterinary Physiotherapists in the hydrotherapy clinic dealing with real patients and their owners is a very positive learning experience for those involved in delivering this vocational work.


K9 Hydro Services uses a variety of assessment methods that include case studies, projects, short question and answers, directly observed procedural skills (DOPS)
