Diploma Course Outline

 

 

  • Consists of 8 Modules providing 124 hours (contact time) plus long distance learning via the K9 Portal. There is a choice of two routes to completion of this award:

 

    • Route 1: monthly 2 day attendance over 8 consecutive months from April to November, with a free mentoring service to aid learning and successful completion

     

    • Route 2: self managed, attending selected Modules over a maximum time frame of 3 years, completing the full Modular Diploma in a more flexible format

     

    • Both routes require a recommended 25 hours (non contact time) of home study per Module attended

 

  • Transparent and standardised course fees: all Modules are £195 per day (7 hours)

 

  • Modules are delivered by a friendly team of Veterinary Physiotherapists who offer lots of "hands on” opportunities to practice techniques in practical sessions, supported by teaching key underpinning knowledge using presentations, demos and case studies

 

  • Module Assessment uses a range of methods to include; Portfolio, Practical Skills Assessment (OSCE), Q&A, MCQ and Case Studies

 

  • Extensive learning resources are available, plus an online Portal for long distance learning and to access the Induction Pack, Course Handbook and Module notes

 

  • Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) is available by formal application

 

  • Business advice and professional skills ( 1.5 hours per Module ) are delivered free of charge.

 

  • Internal and external Verification is in place with Verifiers being qualified experts to ensure rigorous scrutiny of the course to maintain standards of excellence
